Overview
Mr Sanjay Anand is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises exclusively in knee surgery. He provides expert care for both amateur and professional athletes across a range of sports, including football, rugby, netball, hockey and motocross, and also receives tertiary referrals for complex knee conditions.
His specialist interests include osteotomies around the knee, the management of early cartilage damage and osteoarthritis in younger patients, as well as the treatment of fat pad problems, patellar tendinopathy and anterior knee pain.
Mr Anand’s research focuses on stem cell therapy for cartilage injuries, tissue regeneration and the prevention of osteoarthritis. He holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Manchester and has published and presented his work at national and international conferences.
